Excellent craftsmanship and fit people kept coming over to the counter by the gentleman, mounted the scope and commenting on how nice the gun looked and combination
I sighted in the rifle Monday. The focus of the scope is more difficult to adjust compared to other scopes I have, which are many. I don't know if it is partly because of its small operating length, the added brass "sun shield" or just the quality of the mechanism. I know the base model is probably lower-end materials with the added brass features, because the price has to reflect the materials and workmanship to produce the brass hardware. The scope looks great, and will probably function well enough to get the job done I want to do which is whitetails at 80 yards or less. I'm happy with what I got, but I would suggest working on the focus/clarity and removing the flourishes from the reticle. Just my opinion.

I got this to put on my golden boy .22. I got to the point where i couldn't see through the iron sights anymore. I upgraded to this scope so i could see better. It is a fantastic scope, it matches the Golden Boy very well.
1895 Scope is great. It makes the look and feel of my Henry amazing with the brass scope matching so closely to the brass on the Henry.
